Current Volunteer Opportunities

Main Library

Shelver - Shelve library materials.  Adults and older teens considered for position.  Lifting and bending required.  Knowledge of Dewey Decimal System helpful.

Friends of the Library - Adult volunteers needed to work in Friends Shop and workroom, selling books and media materials.

Holds Pull/Processing - Volunteer will pull requested items from shelves and get them ready to be picked up by patrons who have requested them.  Knowledge of Dewey Decimal System helpful.

Rebarcoding - Barcodes need to be placed on fronts of all library items for easier check-out.  Must be comfortable using computers and be detail-oriented.
 

East Valley Branch

Literacy Lab Facilitator - Adult volunteer need to maintain the small rooms that provide an educational environment for parents and children ages 0-12. Volunteer would work under the supervision of the literacy staff. Hours available Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Minimum of 2 hours per week.
