The principal function of the Purchasing Division is to assist City departments in securing a variety of items, including supplies, equipment and services necessary to carry out their duties at the most economical cost. The professional staff of the Purchasing Division acts as a liaison between the departments, vendors, and contractors. The responsibilities of the Purchasing Division are carried out in accordance with the legal requirements established in the Escondido Municipal Code and by the general law of the State of California.
If you wish to be added to the City's bidders' list, you can obtain a copy of our Bidders' List Form* online and send your request back either by fax or mail. Please attach your business card and, if possible, a line card.
If you are a contractor and wish to be included in the City's list of qualified contractors to receive notices inviting informal bids, you can obtain a copy of our Contractor's Pre-Qualification Application 2009* online and send your request back either by mail or fax.
