The Utilities Department is committed to providing a safe reliable water supply to our customers. It is important that we are all aware of the water use measures and restrictions adopted by City Council. Due to budget constraints, the City will not be using staff to police water use offenders. Therefore we rely on residents to be our "eyes" and to inform us of any water use violations per the Municipal Code. You may also report water use violations on the water conservation hotline at (760) 839-4658.
Important Information
Staff monitors the online complaint form and the water conservation hotline calls during business hours. Generally the response time is within 5 working days. If you are reporting a water use violation that is considered an emergency such as a water main break, call (760) 839-4668 during business hours and Police Dispatch at (760) 839-4722 in the evenings and during the weekend.
Before You Place Your Complaint
At a minimum, the City needs the following information to investigate your complaint:
- The location of the violation (street address is required)
- Your name, address and a phone number where you can be reached during the day
- Other information that may help staff investigate the issue
NOTE: All required fields must be filled out for the form to be submitted and investigated.
