Escondido Research & Technology Center (ERTC) is a 164-acre technology park, strategically located west of the Wineridge Business Park in the city of Escondido. ERTC is anchored by a 550-megawatt Palomar Energy Plant and Stone Brewing Company. It is the site of the Palomar Medical Centre West currently under construction. A joint venture of JRMC ERTC I, L.P. and Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) for the planned development of Palomar Medical Centre’s 300,000 square feet of Class A Medical Office Buildings is now finishing its planning and design stage. A construction start on the project is expected to begin in 2011, shooting for a 2012 opening concurrent with PPH’s Palomar Medical Centre West – Hospital of the Future.
