Mission
The Escondido Public Library seeks to inform, enrich, and empower every individual in the community. The Library serves the education and information needs of people of all ages, economic and cultural backgrounds. This vital resource depends, in part, on the generosity of donors who want to help the Library meet the needs of children and families who use the Main Library, the East Valley Branch Library, and/or the Pioneer Room.
The Escondido Library Endowment Foundation is the fund raising arm of
the Escondido Public Library. Created in 1990, the ELEF greatly
enhances the effectiveness of the Escondido Public Library through its
support of programs that meet special needs in our community. The
Foundation raises funds that are used to supplement - not supplant - the
Library's tax-based support and that enable the Library to reach those
who need us the most.
